: I'd like to put a new front crank seal on. I do not see any way to get the pulley off. I see no bolts, nuts, set screws etc. I have a good puller but I'm not sure what to do so I don't break it. Very carefully. My friend and I went through this on an A and managed to bust the pully. The engine was already seperated from the rest of the tractor (another story) so I loaded it into the truck and took it over to the local dealer. They had it off in minutes - they put a collar (bearing splitter) behind it, a bolt into the threads in the front to push against, a wheel puller, and a "c" clamp across the arms of the puller "so no one will loose his head if it lets go." Turn the screw on the puller and voila. Getting it back on is even trickier. I used the electric range to get that pully good and hot, made sure that the front of the crank and inside the pully were squeaky clean and burr free, then it slid on with only a small amount of pounding. Good luck!
