it depends on what laws are in your area, out here on the farm, nobody has a drone so there not a problem, but i can see where in a town somebody using a drone to watch for example your daughter sunbathing in the backyard would and should be shot down, its owner considering himself lucky he wasnt shot down too, people are entitled to their privacy, and that includes the space over their property up to the level of commercial air traffic. one thing they do have in the nearest town to me is a minimum flight altitude of 2000 ft, that means anything powered by a motor that flies must maintain 2000 ft over the town, not easy when the town is at 6 to 7000 ft itself, the airport was moved to a rural wwll airstrip and modernized around 20 years ago and landing approaches and takeoffs are over rural area, that rule does affect drones now , per city council, after some idiot was flying one to take pictures of a wildfire last year, the problem was his drone was interfering with bombing runs by the air attack units over the fire, we just cant have that
