Which job George? If you're out writing tickets then you can't be working the burglary or rape or stolen property case. If you're trolling for road rage, then you aren't looking for the school zone speeder or the back road poachers. If you're checking the school zones you can't be checking posted properties at camps 8 miles down a dirt road. If you're checking camps you can't be out on the highway looking for people texting while driving or the guy hauling a tractor on a flatbed with a couple of Harbor Freight 1" straps for tie downs. If you're out looking for the texting kids you aren't stopping and checking on that elderly couple at the their old farm that's been having health issues the past few months or trying to find out who's cutting their fences and riding atv's through their back fields. If you're doing one thing, you can't be doing another, and no matter what you do someone is going to think you should be doing something else. I kinda always thought working the burglaries, assaults and rapes was a lot more important than tickets, but the bean counters in charge like to have NUMBERS they can look at to show why they need more money.

Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
