I'm glad you picked a G to rebuild, I have a few my self. The paint inside the case is a primer, and they still use the same color of prime today and almost all JD tractors. The paint is not buffer primer primer JD sells. I don't think that the primer will hold up to the hydraulic oil. The hydraulic oil will break down most paint so I don't have any ideas for you, maybe some factory guys can help. JDGnut
