I resently bought the Antique Tractor Bible. It says that for a good all around tractor that the MF 35 was about the best little tractor and it has all the power with the diesel engine that you would need. I would say you did very well with your purchase. I happen to like the Farmalls, but I had to buy an after market 3 point hitch so that I could do the jobs that I needed to do. It works well and I like it a lot. I am planning on going through it this winter, to get it ready for some shows, may be enter a tractor pull? Glad for you with your purchase have lots of fun! Bob : : I recently purchased my first tractor; it's a MF 35 with the 3-cylinder Perkins diesel engine. The s/n plate is missing and I would like to know how to find out the s/n and date of manufacture. The tractor is in good working order but leaks a little fuel. I paid $3400 for the tractor, bush hog, box blade, 8-disc harrow, pole boom, and a 16 ft. trailer. Was this a good deal? Is this a good tractor? I am beginning to get very interested in tractors and would appreciate any replies. Thanks. : You done real good... The tractor costs that around here. Enjoy! A word of caution, this IS contagious... Dennis H.
