It's one thing to go back and forth on pricing, but it's another thing altogether to be insulting.
As for determining the prices of commodities, I don't think the average person is familiar with that process.
I've got no problem with people trying to get a little better deal. But like everything else, I believe there's a time and a place (figuratively speaking), as well as a form of etiquette. It's not cool to show up at someone's home and offer them 10ΒΆ on the dollar for what they have, even if it IS junk. Negotiations should be handled with tact and not be insulting.
