On a 6v positive gnd generator, Your field to ground will give you max charge. You may want to get a good high power 3 ohm resistor to drop your charge down to 3-5 amps. Make sure your cutout relay( if you have one) is not draining your battery. Good luck : I inheirited a Famall H that was wired strangly. After talking to somebody, this is what I did. : The "Field" from the generator to ground. ( I know that my battery won't charge this way, but right now I'm just trying to get it running) : The "Bat" from the generator to the ammerter. : The Wire from the condensor (It has a magneto) to an "on/off" switch. : That is all of the wiring, now when I ground the battery (Positive ground) the ground wire sparks when I touch the frame, and the generator gets hot, there seems to be juice going to it when it shouldn't be. : If anybody could help me out I would sure appreciate it. : Wes
