Nice warm day today. Decided to give it a try. Previously tilled soil from last fall worked up Ok with the disk, but still pulled hard. Had to carry with wheels to control depth. We have lighter soils here, but still damp and heavy. Ready for cultivator to level further for planting oats/alfalfa. Had another field of sod, cut up pretty well for first pass. Will have to make a couple more passes to cut sod further. Mid-Michigan, haven't seen any other farmers out yet. Oats are an early planting. Crops others plant will wait a bit.
