I guess I glossed over the part of your post about growing produce. While it would be interesting to have a collection of all different tractors, a more practical approach was that of the Japanese and Filipino produce growers around Tacoma and Puyallup, Washington (pretty much a thing of the past- no matter how much they liked farming their 20 or 30 acres, they all eventually succumbed to offers of millions of $$ for development). They had collections of 6 or 7 of the same tractor- usually Farmall Super A's, but some with Allis Chalmers G's. Each would have its own mounted implement, but had the added flexibility of changing it over to another if a tractor broke down. Each usually had one bigger tractor, for primary tillage.
One I talked to said "We all used to laugh at the G's, they were funny looking- but those guys had the last laugh when we eventually sold out. They were getting $3,000 for the G's, I had to struggle to get a thousand apiece for my Super A's".
