I had a similar problem, blue spruce planted too close to house. Started rubbing against the shingles. It was only 20 ft tall. I backed my 6x10 ft dump trailer close to tree. Used generator in back of truck and my 4 hp electric chain saw to remove about 6 ft of lower branches and put in trailer before I dropped the tree in trailer. Perfect landing. Strapped tree in trailer and hauled it to fire pit.
Only took me about 30 minutes start to finish.
As for trees, I've learned my lesson. Sooner or later, they will get too big and fall on buildings.
I had over 20 trees removed so after a 90 mph straight line wind, I won't find them on a house or garage. A wind damaged two houses and 3 garages because of trees falling on them. One tree put 9 skylights in one place. A branch went into the dining room, broke a truss.
I like the shade, but hate the mess and damage trees will cause.

It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
