We had order the kit from Steiner to put the Char- Lynn power steering on this try front end Farmall M. The reason was simple because it was had to turn the front wheel ounce out in the flied working it. This was about three years ago. We have brought it in to a shop had them look at it because it steers just as hard as if it was not there. They say it is all there and is working but we do not see any different in steering. These past years I have been trying to figure this out on this system. There is a filter on this which has a block on it which looks like it belongs to my 1964 430 ck power steering system. Is that the right filter to be using for the Char- Lynn system may I ask. Does char- Lynn power system have a filter that runs between the pump and the unit for the power steering fluid. Next question is do they make that unit and why did not tell us we had to get it. Thanks for any help.
