Way back when, we used to pull NH3 tanks 50 miles each way. Dad had a 1970 Chevy half ton with a 250 6 cylinder that drug many a tank. We side dressed corn, and applied 100 pounds actual product. Started out pulling a 5 shank with a DC Case. Worked the guts out of it, then jump up to a 7 shank pulling a nurse tank behind the 570 Super Cockshutt!! In the evenings it would send flames out the pipe about a foot. Then the last 2 applicators were put on 8 row rolling cultivators. First on pulled with a D21 Allis, and the final 8 row wide pulled by a 7045 Allis. The last 2 made it easy, and by that time COOP had put a bulk tank in, 3 miles from the fields.
