Remember when those wheels were made the tires were designed for a rim perhaps 2/3 as wide as the tire and a tractor like an F20 would have had a tire of a size like 12.75 or 14.00 on it from factory. Now those tire numbers were figured on hight of tire not width and a 12.75 would be more like a 14.9 in width, you would still be a bit short on height but it would be close to having the correct pull in on the sidewalls for the 8" rim. That is what I would put on in a 14.9 with no smaller than a 13.6. Don't have my books handy that gives all that information but these books were printed over 60 years ago.
