While I am not really an "anti," I do think that over the last 60 or 70 years of nuclear power, there should be a better way to dispose of spent fuel than burial. We have had over half of a century to figure out how to either recycle, re-refine, or re-use nuclear fuel. Why haven't we?? This is one of those "hard" questions that seems to go unanswered.
For the record, I am in favor of nuclear power. I am also in favor of developing a more suitable use of spent fuel rods than simply burial. There is no excuse. This should be top priority in my opinion.
