Well, the white strip is masking tape over the remnants of the old stick that was yellow / black and said John Deere.
I sanded the rest of it off to the point of the SMV tape / sign. I uncovered the left side of the decal after pulling it out of the shop, and it looks really good. Going to bolt on a real SMV sign, and it will look better I think! ;)
