Case Backhoe

Case-omatic tranny is sick on a Case backhoe approximately 1960 vintage.Anybody now of an affordable fix or replacement for this transmission..dealer wants about $4,000 for replacement...can we convert to standard transmission using somebody elses unit on this machine???Help
