I have been working on one of my long term projects its took me years to gather free lumber are cheap lumber. Right now I have a nail gun, nails, 14 sheets of 7/16 OSB and $130 ($1 apiece) in used 2X4's invested in it. Time wise 2 days in pulling nails out of the used 2X4's what a JOB... I have probably pulled nails out of 200 are more  I have got to builds 5 more have lumber for 3... About one a day on the week end is all I have the time for but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.. To keep it tractor related I used my Bota to load them into the trailer. Some are short some are long it depended on the condition of the lumber and how much I had to cut them to have good lumber.
