So I have this 1950 8N that was in the Dec 2015 flood and had the engine under water. It has sat since because I did not have time to get to it. I had opened up the drain plugs on i so the water could drain out and most of it had. I then pulled the drain plugs out a couple weeks ago. At the same time I had checked to see if it was locked up and it was. I pulled the plugs out one at a time and did a wick test to make sure the cylinder did not have any water in them and they did not. So I filled the cylinders with ATF and let it sit. Has been sitting for a couple weeks. The oil drain plug was still out and the pan under it has filled wit ha ugly mix of oil and ATF and I know for sure it is ATF since it has a red color to it. I did also have to free up the starter but that was not a big deal. Set a battery in it and hit the starter and it spun right over. Waiting now for a oil filter so I can fill it up with oil and go from there and see if I can get it running

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
