I posted this on the Farmall/IH board,and got one very good response from Pete23,but wanted a few more perspectives.I work (retirement pastime)for a small tractor repair/feedstore/Bushhog dealer.They used to be an Ih dealer back in the day.We work on a lot of 474,484,485-3220,on up 585,595-695-4210 size tractors.Whenever we replace a clutch,the finger height has to be adjusted.We have used several after market suppliers,but all need the fingers raised.We have the flywheels turned,and the step,to the correct height.There is a tool to set the fingers,but is unavailable.So I guesstimate and keep notes.I worked on big trucks for 40 yrs and never had a problem with this.I don't mind adjusting the fingers,but they should be correct when I get it out of the box.So,anyone else dealing with this issue ?
