Reminds me of once I advertised a 4wd pickup for sale.
Three guys showed up within 20 minutes of each other. I thought I was going to have an auction. The three decided among themselves to let the first one that was there have first shot. He bought it without even haggling over the price.
The whole story was, there had been a couple of inches of snow the day before, and this fellow had an old International 2wd pickup. His wife had slid off the road the afternoon before and got stuck. I think when the poor guy left home that morning, he had orders not to come home without a 4wd pickup.
