The filter for my JD 240 is a 93097. It says on the box that it replaces the B&S 492932. The filter for my Dad's Craftsman is a 696854. When I checked for a filter that would interchange, I got the 492932 number, but not the 93097 number. I would assume that my filter will fit, but I would like to be sure before I try to change his filter. I have about ten of mine on hand and want to use one of them if it will fit. If it did not fit, I would have to put the old one back on so that he would not run it without the filter and of course wreck the engine. Thank you SDE
