Ater '50 there were adjusters which allowed adjustment by
removing the manifold and valve covers. Two special wrenches
are avail to keep the adjusters from rotating while you are
setting the valve lash. Also, older N's are often updated during
rebuilds with the newer adjusters. So, even if your 8N is an older
one, the valves may still be adjustable. EEA
