What ever floats your boat on oil but myself i will not use a 15-40 in a gas car engine especially up here . I did run a 20-50 in my one 88 Ford with the 460 in the summer only because it go the bag run off it pulling the trailer because of the hills and what the transmission in gear selection i made up for it with RPM's . Now not sayen this was the right thing to do but with 287 thousand and change on her when i sold it she was still doing great and woukld only use a qt. in 1500 miles. But when the temps started to dip that 20-50 gave way to a 10-40 and come mid Jan. and sometimes sooner even that was a shade to heavy for over night camping .
