We have a 2005 Dodge Dakota and they sent us a notice about the air bags. We took it in and they replaced the driver side air bag but didn't have the part to replace the passenger side so they turned it off. It's been more than a year and they finally have the part to fix it.
I don't like Dodge either. I needed access to the wiring harness in the back and the spare tire was in the way. I went to move it and found they have some kind of goofy wench to lower the tire to the ground. The tool to do it is like a socket extension about three feet long you have to insert it to the wench to operate it and very difficult to see to do it. Then they put some kind of safety device on it so when you go to let the tire down the cable comes down but the tire doesn't. You have to lay on the ground for 10-15 minutes kicking the tire until it lets go. I suppose that is better than the 1987 Dodge I had. If you had a flat tire there was no way in H you could get the jack under the truck to change it. One time I had to drive seven miles home because there was no way to change the tire. Before I could solve that problem the truck wore out. It had so many engine problems I had to retire it and it only had 70,000 miles on it.
