: : any hinys on why the cold start aid button (appears to be just some sort of heating filament)on my ford would stop heating? Havent had time to go top to bottom on it yet but a quick visual check revealed no loose wires or bad fuses.. I dont know a lot about glow plugs but could this mean there is a problem with them?? thanks in advance dave : *** The glowplug circuit really has nothing to do with the cranking circuit. Test for voltage at the glowplugs with the key in the heat position. If your 1910 will start at all, you must be getting some heat from the glowplugs, cause they will not cold start without it. As long as there is enough current to make the plugs hot, there is little cause for worry.
