At job I had several years ago, there was an elderly man there, semiretired, had worked as the maintenance man there since he was 14, with 4 years off in the military.
To say he was living in the "good old days" was an understatement!
He was about the most cantankerous, belligerent, hateful man I have ever met! Spending money on any improvement was a waste. The biggest argument we had was when I scored a pallet of used 4' fluorescent fixtures to replace some of his "hanging by the wire" 150 watt lights!
But when he discovered the www, he was in dream land! He jumped right on, actually became quite good at computer technology, at least as it was in the early days.
This was a very good thing for me, because when he was surfing the net, he wasn't following me around explaining why wiring didn't need to be in conduit, safety guards were left off because they are in the way, and all forklifts leave a trail of oil behind them! LOL
