I have seen a few cars/trucks/equipment fall. I watched a Southern Yellow Pine 6x6 explode when used to support a 96 Chev 1500. My trick is to slide the removed tire under the car/truck with me. Jackstands are used with the floor jack ready to take the load but the tire is my last chance. My friend didn't want to risk his beautiful aluminum wheels so he ended up wearing an F250. Some bruising and abrasions to his pride were all he got out of it, but he still cannot figure out how the jackstand fell. It happens in the blink of an eye. Be careful, y'all.
