Hey Gramps, welcome to YT!! I'm not familiar with Wheel Horse tractors, but did happen to find a couple of links that I think might be of help to you. One is on a competing forum, so hope I don't get in trouble for this, but it IS a forum dedicated to Wheel Horse tractors:
The other link has to do with an Eaton transaxle that is used on many Wheel Horse models. Wasn't exactly sure if you were asking about a transaxle unit itself or a lift system - or if there's even a difference. Haven't read through the Eaton .pdf but am assuming any hydraulic lift on the unit would be powered from an output from the transaxle unit, so hopefully this will help:
