If you can get a sample of the oil out, enough to get a feel for how thick it is, that will be a clue.
Some use thin oil, like ATF, others use heavier oil, like 15 w40 motor oil.
If you can't identify the model, you can try to match the oil by feel.
Now, I'm just guessing here, so make your own decision, but I don't think they are all that particular about the oil.
Once you get it full (and that doesn't mean "full to the top"), there is probably a level plug, somewhere near the top, but not so full there is no room for heat expansion, the bleeding process is to raise the drive wheels off the ground, put it through the motions, forward and reverse. Let it run a few minutes in both directions, that should get the air out. If the oil is frothy, letting it sit overnight will clear it up, then recheck the level.
Again, there is a lot of guessing here, so proceed at your own risk. If you can find more numbers it would be possible to find the factory recommendation, but if not, gotta do what you gotta do!
