I have a trailer similar to yours. It a sur-trac bumper hitch. My ramps, like yours would kick up. I cut the knees off and re-designed them. My knees will come in contact with the ground when tractor gets on ramp and the knees are under the pivot point of the ramp.
I pull on my Jubilee on the trailer all the time. I watch front tires and know exactly what board to put them on. Same when I back off. I only watch one side. Haven't fallen off yet. Looks like you have either a Jubilee or newer ford.
If you can't straighten the PTO, see if Rural King or TSC has a replacement. Glad you weren't hurt. Did you need a change of underwear? geo
