Ulcers, most of them are caused by the H Pylori bacteria, it's a bacteria they put the patient on course of antibodies and acid control medicine and the ulcer heals. My dad fought ulcer's for years and was miserable for 10-15 years, fast forward to me in my 30's stomach problems like my dad, living in a small town in Tennessee of less than 10,000 people, the doc schedules me into the hospital for an outpatient procedure where he sticks a camera down my throat and has a look-see at my stomach, see all the damage. Takes blood, no H Pylori been on acid control products for the last 30 years, all's good. This winter I had shortness of breath and back pain, go to an emergency room in a town of 25,000, they do an MRI- pneumonia and a blood clot, in the hospital overnight back to work in a week, years ago people died from that kind of situation. Now if I could only get the VA to accept my ulcer was from the 6 months the Air Force had me on the big Motrins for my heel spurs and it ate a whole in my stomach then life would be grand.
