I wouldn't have thought that Deere would have released such a crappy height control. That's what you get with a cheap D series though. Deere made a mistake in calling them a 6100D. They would have been much better off calling it a 5100D. Nothing about that tractor, other than the Mannheim front axle, is a 6000 series. You put a 6140D and 6140M beside each other, and they're nothing alike. A 5100E is a much more similar tractor to the 6100D. If you're looking to keep a cheaper tractor, I think you would be much happier with a Case IH Farmall 100A series tractor. That said, you'd be much, much happier something like a 6110M or a Maxxum 115. Much better, higher spec tractor. Much nicer cab. heavier, more features.
