Mowing hay with the Farmall 504 and noticed a knock or chatter in the transmission when the tractor is pulling. When I am headed down hill there is no chatter. That eliminates the PTO driveline as the culprit. Has anyone had experience with this on this model or similar? When I get the 4 acres I have down baled I will take a look from the top of the transmission if I can. I think with the hydraulics under the seat it limits how much I can get to from the top without getting too involved. Is there something I should look out for when I am looking in the top? Just trying to figure out if it is something serious or not. I split this poor tractor last year to replace the TA pressure plate so I would rather not do that again to find out nothing is of concern. Appreciate the advice!
