If the dog is not aggressive go with the electric fence. He will learn real quick, its a mental thing with animals.( that's how one tiny wire will keep a large bull in). Hang a small piece of bacon on the wire and watch his eyes cross as he licks it! If the dog is aggressive some of the other tips might come in handy. Someone had dumped a pit bull and it must of been hit by a car and someway ended up in my garage. If my border collie had not happened to come over(spends most of time at farm) I would of been in bad shape or worse. Cant think of what would of happened if my kid would of came out of the house instead of me. I have no problem with dogs that pass through( may be some kids pet) but if another pit bull steps foot on the place it dead.
