I bought a 12 row cult. and hauled it home on nephews car trailer. I had my local dealer lift it off with there pay-loader and the dealer asked me which tractor I was going to pull it with? I answered -my CX 100. He said 'you'll never pull this cult. with that tractor". I said "I bet I will". I drove my tractor in to get it and low and behold, I couldn't lift it. That never crossed my mind. Dealer checked pump pressure and it was right up to specs. So I came back with My Cat and brought it home to figure out what I can do. The pics. below show my solution. I went and bought a lift assist off an old JD. planter. Tractor pulls it just fine. I have not been on the very steep hills of one of my rented farms yet but I can always bump the lift assist up a bit if need to.
