It's fairly common to have someone get so put out by me being on the road that they give me the one finger wave, but it is usually reserved for the younger generation. Not today tho! Was driving down the freeway that was 3 lanes each dirction, I was in the right lane as I was doing 65 in a 70 zone . There were 2 old ladies, at least 70 years old, in the center lane that would pass me til they got a couple truck lengths in front, then slow til they dropped back to a couple lengths behind me. This went on for about 60 miles and they would change places every few minutes. This was no problem for me because they were in the other lane and no problem for me. They did crabby up a few other travelers tho! Lol. After about 60 miles the 3rd lane was dropping off and I figured if these 2 ladies were in front of me they would be a real pain. So I waited til they were far enough behind me and moved to the center lane thinking they would do like most older folks and just stay back there. But nope! They are angry! They come burning up beside me in the left lane and stay there beside me and give me the middle finger! The passenger used both hands! I was so taken aback by these two old ladies doing that that I kinda laughed and waved at them. That only made it worse! I've never been flipped off with such enthusiasm before! After they were satisfied I had the message they went on their way and I never saw them again. I've been forced to put them into my favorite "getting flipping off" spot, narrowly edging out the toddler in the car seat in an suv in missouri from a couple years ago. Lol. Gotta love the old folks, you never know what your going to get.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
