I plowed up about 3 acres of ground for my garden this spring. Been kind of wet spring but finally got everything in the ground,
I still had some unused garden space left over. I dug around in the freezer and found a bag full of plastic seed packets that were sealed and not opened.
The packets of seed were cucumber, egg plant, summer squash, spaghetti squash, mixed gourds, lunar pumpkins, hales best cantaloupe, Connecticut pumpkin, Crimson watermelon, Charleston grey watermelon and whatever else I forgot to list.
Anyway, I planted those last week and have been checking them each day. Finally, by today they have all sprouted and popped up. The odd part was...these packets of seeds were all dated from 1998!...19 YEARS OLD and they germinated. That's pretty awesome.
Last week, I also planted 2 pounds of Jolly Time popcorn, 2 pounds of Cranberry dried beans and 2 pounds more of Great Northern dried beans. All bought at the grocery store. All of them have germinated and popped through the ground too.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
