I have an older gas engine 240 utility that the clutch went on and i replaced it last summer and it has the pressure plate fingers worn badly already with only 30 hrs of operation on it .
I have a shop manual here but there is very little info and no exploded view pic's for this assembly .My question is about the the release bearing there is a sleeve over the input shaft to the trans that the release bearing slides on .... is that supposed to be just free floating or attached to the back of the bell housing mine is just there as it was when i first took it apart last year. I just don't see how any thing would stay centered with it just floating
