I have had my 4300 (w/ 12x12 SyncReverser trans, 430 Loader and 47 Backhoe, R4 Tires) since July. I know I haven't had it for too long but I have no complaints so far. There is a lot of power to this machine despite it's size. I have been doing various excavting (damn sewer line between the house and septic collapsed and needed replacing!) and grading chores around the place without bogging down. I have some light commercial landscaping to do yet in addition to moving some snow around this winter but i think it is more than adequate enough to handle it. It seems like JD took all they learned (good and bad)from the 55 and 70 series and applied that knowledge to build a very good compact tractor. I would have to agree that tilling 155 acres of ground is no job for a 4000 Series tractor. You would be better off buying an overhauled 4010 or 4020 or getting into the 5000 Ten series.
