All sorts of things could break, that is not a good thing. Don't use it that way.
I assume you have the Orc on the 600, and do not have one on the 960.
That is what the difference is.
You need to trim an inch or three off both sides of the pto shaft. Trouble is you don't want it too short for the taller 960 without an Orc, it needs enough overlap to work properly. But you need it shorter then it is for the lower 600 tractor with Orc.
