I can go a little faster because I have a second scalping screen, so I can set a course screen first, then a little finer screen second, then the sieve screen to clean out fines. Keep your fan turned up, the fan does a lot of the cleaning, and I think a lot of guys like to keep it low so to not lose as much grain. I'd rather put more light seed on the ground as it makes for a better sample of seed rye.
My machine has three augers - inlet, clean grain, and light grain. The scalpings and fines are caught in buckets. The super light trash blows out the back. I'm planning on mounting a dust collector to make it a less dusty job. I'll route the inlet to suck up the dust as the seed comes out the roll feed hopper. It should also give me a couple more bushel per hour capacity as well.
