Hi Yes they do still make tough tubes They are made of thick rubber by Michelin, Klieber, and Firestone to name a few. The biggest problem is they don't cost $60 like the cheap made in China junk, tire patches won't stick to unless you use a nuclear blast to bond them.
The Michelin Agribibs on my chore tractor are junk with the wall starting to break up letting fluid out of one, but the tread is over 1 1/2 inch still. The made in china tube lasts about a month with a patch over the bad spot in the tire and any next bad spot showing area's patched to. since we used the expensive tube in the one it's been good for over a year. The $160 Michelin tube is in stock here for when the other one goes bad to on a weekend when the tire place is shut so I can fit it. Regards Robert
