Yesterday I got to see the Great Race pull into Wapakoneta, Ohio. Only stop in Ohio. Today they are in Michigan. If you can I encourige you to go see the it. 115 vehicals out of 120 made it from Florida to Wapakoneta with the newest I think 1966 and the oldest 1916. I had a spot just as they were pulling into town and watched the commentators talking to the drivers. Corky Cooker of Cooker tires was interesting and I actually talked a few words with him. One vehical to me stood out because of the team driving. It was 2 young girls, 16 year old driver and her 14 year old sister as navigator. And the race is over 2600 mile on routs they have never seen. And comming in very good on time beating out experienced drivers. Ends in northern Michigan on Sunday. Second Great race I have seen but the first was after cars were parked for the night. See it if you can. It is not speed but following directions and timing. They said one of the cars will have covered over 17,000 mile from time it left home driving till it is back home. And 7 teams from Japan and some even brought their car over from Japan just for the race. Cars you will never have seen before and never will again.
