all of us could wear ourselves out about the true possible cause ,,. but i would bet one thing for sure ,,. if all of us could view the scene and the equipment ,TOGETHER , we could figure it out,,....there are so many ways we could get ourselves kilt out here without being creative whatsoever ./// some hydrostat tractors when hot and barely idling could make us quik jumpers think we have it out of gear , and we are off the tractor before we realize that sundavichis still in gear!,. happened to a pal of mine that went thru a haytedder the hard way and lived to tell about it , i think it was a ford /n-holland .////..with no rear window it is highly;possible the fella was reaching back for a lever on the spray rig , bumpt a forward lever on the tractor,,///. easy to do on a 4020 p/shift ,. i WILL NOT GO OFF THE RIGHT SIDE ON MINE ,.//. and the left side on a 430 case uprite handclutch lever has got me in trouble before wearing shorts , , left the 430 in 4th low raking hay and yankt the hand clutch , jumpt off to switch the rake out of gear, durn lever went up my shorts and there i was about to lose my pants running alongside the tractor trying to kill the motor and get the thing stopt before we run over the bank onto the county road .stark neked,, i was a county commissioner then ,, can you imagine those headlines ,. farmer found dead and left his shorts on the hand clutch lever..
