First off, Wow! I can't believe I'm on page 14 of the Tractor Talk Forum, this forum is certainly busy and well staffed. I purchased new connecters for my TN65 remote hoses at the local farm co-op and had trouble getting them to operate, then I purchased some supposedly gen. NH hose connectors. I then measured both the local's they had a tip protrusion of 2/32" and the genuine NH's had a tip protrusion of 4/32" and were of different diameters. I will admit I am not a fan of hydraulic remote connectors. It does mostly work if everything is perfect. I still had problems with the NH remote female jacks leaking and the O rings to replace are very difficult to find, the best I can tell they are 13/16" ID and close to 3/16" dia. IF the O rings are a bit "fat" the connectors will not latch up and without the rings they leak terribly. The double valves in the connectors are difficult at best in that they have to fully open when connected to permit free oil flow. It seems to almost defy Pascal's Law of Hydraulics if everything is not perfect so the oil molecules can flow unimpeded. At Any Rate, the Forum was right be "Suspicious of Connectors". Finally my class 2 toplink works ok. Thanks again, great forum, bmiller@jocoed.net

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
