JM, A old college friend just bought a new F150. I'm impressed with it. I bought a new 2007 GMC, which only has 90k, only because it was the end of the classic style. The bed side of today's truck is taller than the top of the tool boxes on my classic style. I need 3 tool boxes on a truck. I would hate to carry a step ladder to see what's inside my tool box.
So my truck is 10 years old, 90k. 10 years from now I'll have 180k.
I sold my old 1995 GMC with 150k miles, same truck and engine, to another friend. It's still on the road. No mechanical issues. It has 230k miles.
I may not live long enough to wear my truck out. Only possibility of getting a new F150 is to wreck mine, total it out. Yes, I'm cheap. It's not difficult for me to pay cash new truck, I just can't see spending money just because I have an itch to buy a new truck. Same with my 12 year old car, 80K.
My fix was cheap, fast and easy to do. I bought (6) 12v 30 amp relays off ebay for less than $4 each. I use relays on many things. geo
