My neighbor in pa has a stand he runs at a flea market on saturdays,he gets stuff from the mennonites,and takes it to his stand.I stoPped in to see him Sunday.He had gotten rained out saturday at his stand so he had a box of sweetcorn left over.He said take some,Its two days old,he had picked it up friday.He gave me some.My wife doesnt eat it,,and I have to eat slow now,,so I have been cooking one ear a night now since Sunday night.It is really good,,even was good last night.My dad grew lots of sweetcorn years ago.The first day it was fantastic,,but if you kept it more than a day it went downhill fast.He would never sell or eat corn over a day old from picking.I dont know what variety my neighbor gave me,,but I can tell you it is good,,and lasts a long time in the fridge,,I m gonna cook another one tonight!
