Depends on how big and how heavy. Items up to 70 (I think?) lbs the post office has really upgraded it's parcel delivery services and options. If its is heavy and will fit in a flat rate box that service cant be beat. They will beat UPS every time on price and most of the time beat them on delivery time.Actually UPS has become my last resort due to the rates. Heavy items cost $$ no matter who does it, I tried Fastenal and for the life of me I cant figure out why they get so much press as a great way to ship. I have never got a great price from them and add in the restrictions on where, when and how plus I have to take it to the store and my customer must go to the store,,I just wont fool with them. For heavy shipping I use U Ship (not Youship! ) and pick the carrier that gives best price quote, I pick the day and time for them to come pick it up and stick it on the truck.
