It it was an interlock, there wouldn't be a click either. : : Gerald : :::::I'd suggest checking all the connnections, and battery terminals for a short or unhooked wire, then you may want to check the safety switch under seat, (usually a yellow metal clip), if nothing else, just bypass it to see if thats the problem. If not, make sure its in neutral, and check the safety switch under the transmission plate. You may also want to check the deck safety switch. Hope this helps. : Dug G. I ended up bypassing all those interlocks on my ol' MTD after a few years, 'cause they all went bad.
