Many years I had with the Clarks 9000 HP(Dresser Rand),Ingersoll Rand (KVS 2000 HP,KVH 5000 HP,KVR.SVG 600 HP.PSVG)and the Nordberg's. The Ambient North of the Washington Border along the Thompson River in Canada, always broke 100 F daily ..Mid July...August 20 th.We had to cool both the Turbos as well as the Main Engines Oil Heat Exchanger with Raw River water, as well as the Intercoolers on all Turbos" (Closed loop Exchanger design so as OIL NEVER entered the River through a faulty Exchanger....tube or header leak. In May of 2003, the Reciprocating UNITS were shut down and TWO LM 2500 General Electric (CF6-8) were placed on line. I was the last Power Engineer to be Licenced to do Major Repairs and Hourly Bore scoping of both the Reciprocating Units as well as the Gas Turbines: Retired 40 Years with Major Natural Gas Company: When I Retired several of the Clark Engines were sold and sent to the USA. I have a Flywheel from a Two Stroke Clark...Weight 12,000 lbs! Someday to be erected at my driveway.
